The EDGE was founded in 2010 as a non-profit club with the idea that families should not have to be wealthy to give their athletes top-quality training, a shot at ultra-competitive club volleyball, and by extension the exposure to play in front of college coaches. While not the cheapest club in the Denver area, the EDGE is easily one of the best values. The EDGE has our own dedicated practice facility. We travel to high-exposure, out-of-state tournaments. All up-front fees cover everything except for out-of-state travel. We don’t nickel and dime our families with hidden costs. And we have an outstanding coaching staff, with experience at the club, high school, and college levels.
Rising to Among the Best in Club Volleyball
Our goal is to be one of the top, elite clubs in the Rocky Mountain Region in terms of performance, while not breaking the bank on our families. And we’re on a fast track!
In 2010, the EDGE was a small, upstart club based in Littleton, CO. Practicing out of local schools, churches, and recreation centers, the Edge grew from four teams in 2010, to having 12 teams – already maxing out practice times at our new facility. What’s more, the growth came organically. We were not a club that started off by splitting from a more established club. We are deeply involved in Gold Crown, our popular developmental programs, and local recreation leagues. Teaching players to play at a young age. And helping them to work their way into becoming successful club players.
In 2013, just three years after our first team hit the court, the EDGE hit a milestone of having over 50% of our teams in Division 3 or higher.
IN 2015, we hit one of our major milestones. Our 2015 14-Red took an at-large bid to Junior Nationals in New Orleans and finished 19th overall in American Division. With many of our teams finishing in Divisions 1 and 2, the EDGE continues to rise as a quality club providing quality training. For several years, we’ve had multiple teams seeded high enough to earn a berth at Junior National Qualifiers.
In 2016 our 15-Red qualified for Junior Nationals by earning a National Bid at our regional bid tournament.
In 2018 our 14-Red took 2nd Place in the American Division at Mizuno Northern Lights National Qualifier, and earned an American bid to Nationals.
In 2019, Our 17-Jim took 2nd place in American Division at EACH of Crossroads, SCVA in Las Vegas, and at Mizuno Northern Lights. Clinching an American bid to Nationals.
Starting in the 2020 season, we will move into our own full-time facility again. It’s a three-court warehouse just south of Santa Fe and C-470. This will be home until we work out some glitches with our permanent home in our new four-court building off Platte Canyon Rd in Littleton. The future is bright!
Staying True to Who We Are and our Southwest Denver Roots
Staying close to our roots in the southwest Denver area, the EDGE moved into our own facility on Federal Boulevard in Sheridan in the summer of 2013. Our location allowed us to continue to serve our players from Evergreen, Conifer, Roxborough, Littleton, and the Denver area. The facility also gave us the freedom to be a year-round volleyball program. After five years, we outgrew our two-court building in Sheridan. And The EDGE is moving once again.
For our 2020 season we found an interim home in a three-court warehouse just south of Santa Fe and C-470. This will be our full-time building to allow us to be a year-round club once again. In May of 2019, the EDGE broke ground on our new four-court facility! There have been some issues to work out with the property but it will become our permanent home. Staying true to our southwest roots, the building is being built in southwest Littleton. With our new building will be able to continue to meet our growth as a fast rising club in Colorado!
