Developmental Programs

Developmental Beginner volleyball program

Learn fundamental skills (passing, setting, hitting, serving).  Learn to play the competitive game.  Have fun preparing to play in high school, club, and beyond!

The EDGE offers a summer program as well as programs that run parallel to club season (November to April/May).  We use these programs to prepare inexperienced, or rec-league players for the game of competitive volleyball.

Winter-Spring Developmental Program is Coming Soon!

  • Program for ages 11-14 (5th-8th graders)
  • Boys are welcome! Co-ed program.
  • Season begins in early November and runs to Late April/Early May (depends on final tournament schedule)
  • Qualified CLUB COACHES
  • Practice twice a week
  • Two to three tournaments
  • Tryouts will determine proper team placement (no cuts)
  • Learn competitive, transitional volleyball:
    • Serve/Serve-receive formations
    • Different offenses and defenses
    • Understand the positions and how they interrelate
  • Fee is $1500 for the six month season. All inclusive.
    • Two EDGE practice shirts
    • EDGE Backpack
    • Team poster
    • Tournament entry fees
    • Outside of our program fee, your athlete will need to get an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) membership. It is about $15 for the year.

Due to the growth in our club, court space during the winter/spring program for practice is limited because the program runs at the same time as our club season.  So, we are going to have a smaller limit on the number of developmental players we can accommodate.
